Elswyth Shawl *Digital Knitting Pattern*

This is a one skein project! Grab that skein of hand painted fingering weight yarn that you
have been holding on to.
Elswyth is a light weight shawlette that has great drape. The pattern is written for a
fingering yarn however; you could use any weight yarn. Just go up about 3 sizes in
needle size from what is recommended for the yarn. This is a great single skein project
for the great hand painted skeins that we always hold onto for a special project. It will look
good with a kettle dyed, solid or a variegated yarn This asymmetrical shawl is worked in
ribbing to give it lots of drape. A larger needle is used to increase on the drape. The
result is a lightweight shawl that has a lovely drape and feels wonderful.
